The Agdash tanker with crew members from Azerbaijan and Russia has been stranded in Suez port for about 16 months due to lack of funds, inspector of the International Transporters’ Federation in Novorossiysk Olqa Ananyina told TASS, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.

The ship owned by Turkey’s Palmali shipping company is in the devastated condition in Suez. There are also Russian captain and boatswains on the board of the ship. They have been left without water and food. They have become stuck in Suez port. We are looking for a lawyer”, O. Ananyina stressed.

She noted that no arrest has been imposed on the ship, it has just dropped anchor at Suez due to lack of financial means: “The crew has debt in the amount of $ 412 thousand. Of 14 crew members, 5 are citizens of Russia, while 9 are citizens of Azerbaijan”.
