Georgian MIA dismissed 10 police officers after protests in Tbilisi

In Georgia, ten law enforcement officers who took part in the dispersal of protesters in Tbilisi were suspended from work for abuse of power. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country, APA reports citing Tellerreport.

"As part of the verification at this stage, ten law enforcement officers who participated in the crackdown on protests have already been suspended," the agency said.

Earlier in Georgia, the court sentenced more than 120 people to administrative arrest from more than 300 detainees after the protest in Tbilisi.

The Georgian Interior Ministry reported that it was investigating possible facts of abuse of authority by law enforcement officers.
