Putin to hold meeting with Security Council members

Today Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting with the permanent members of the Security Council and hold several international telephone conversations, said Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

Peskov said President would hold the 18th meeting of the heads of security agencies and intelligence services of CIS member states. He noted that in the current situation - against the background of "increasing external and internal threats," a special burden and responsibility falls on the security bodies and intelligence services of the CIS states.

"At the end of this event, the President plans to hold an urgent meeting with the permanent members of the Security Council, and we do not rule out several international telephone conversations," the Kremlin spokesman said.
