2264 people have applied to participate in the early parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan which scheduled for February 9, 2020, Chairman of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov said at a meeting today, APA reports.
According to him, 462 of the candidates were nominated by 19 political parties: "16 were nominated by initiative groups and 1786 nominated individually."
According to him, the nomination of 2116 applicants has already been approved. Of these, 1976 have already received their signature sheets, 682 have returned, and 394 have been registered as candidates.
