French parliamentarians representing the Council of Europe are observing the presidential election in Azerbaijan.

The international observers visited the polling station No 27 of the Lankaran city Constituency No 73 and recorded no law violations, APA’s southern bureau reports.

“No law violations have been recorded so far. Everything is normal,” said Kern Claude, member of the French Senate.

Another French senator Duranton Nicole hailed high voter turnout in the presidential election in Azerbaijan.

“Unlike France, people in Azerbaijan come to polling stations even distant places to vote. We will visit numerous polling stations in Lankaran, and then will head to Baku. Azerbaijan is a very beautiful country. We have been welcomed very good, people are very kind here,” he added.
