Since December 1, according to the decision of the Russian authorities, the price of gas will increase by 8.5%, while electricity by 9%, APA-Economics reports citing the Russian press.
According to information, the Russian government has decided to postpone the indexation of tariffs on housing and communal services from July 1, 2023, to December 1, 2022, the next indexation will be July 1, 2024.
The increase in tariffs is explained by the need to renew the utility infrastructure and the fact that the previous indexation lags behind the inflation rates.
