EU Council will hold an emergency meeting on the situation of migrants on March 4, APA reports citing Reuters.

The Interior Ministers of 27 countries – members of EU will consider the possibility of providing assistance to Greece and Bulgaria in connection with the new immigration crisis. To this end, on 4 March in Brussels will be held an emergency meeting. It will discuss the issues related to the influx of migrants from Turkey, it has been said citing European sources.

As expected, the Ministers will discuss Ankara’s decision to stop Syrian refugees who seek to reach Europe by sea or land. In particular, according to sources, the Ministers will consider the possibility of providing assistance to Greece and Bulgaria in patrolling the EU’s external borders.
