France confirmed two cases of deadly coronavirus from China, the first in Europe, French Health Minister said, APA reports citing Sputnik.

Two cases of a new type of coronavirus confirmed in the French cities of Paris and Bordeaux, French Minister of Health Agnès Buzyn said.

The minister added that it is likely there would be other cases.

The Minister of Health gave some information on the first case, reported in Bordeaux. "The patient is 48 years old, he returned from China, he passed through the city of Wuhan," the minister said, according to the France Info outlet. He has been in contact with a dozen people since his arrival in France.
