Number of Azerbaijani citizens, visiting Georgia, increases by 7.1%

Last year, number of Azerbaijani citizens visiting Georgia increasing by 7.1% in comparison with the previous year amounted to 1 509 662 people, APA’s local bureau reports.

With this indicator Azerbaijan has become a country, which sent most foreign travelers to Georgia in 2019.

In reporting period, number of international visitors coming from Russia to Georgia increasing by 4.7% in comparison with the previous year reached 1 463 040 people. Russia is the second country, sending international travelers to Georgia. The third country, which has sent most international travelers to Georgia in 2019, is Armenia (with 1 349 279 people ).

In total, number of international travelers, coming Georgia has increased by 7.1% in comparison with the previous year reached 9,3 mln. people and it is a new record for the country. In reporting period, number of tourists, visiting Georgia was 5 mln. and it is 6.8% more in comparison with 2018.
