A total of 8,997 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Ukraine in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 1,099,493, APA reports citing Ukrinform.
"Some 8,997 new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have been recorded in Ukraine as of January 7, 2021. In particular, those who have fallen ill include 227 children and 385 health workers," Health Minister Maksym Stepanov posted on Facebook.
He said that 148 deaths, 11,316 recoveries and 2,567 hospitalizations were recorded in Ukraine on January 6.
