More than 1200 Omicron cases have been registered in the laboratory in Georgia, out of which 14 patients needed hospital treatment, said the Deputy Minister of Health, Tamar Gabunia, at the end of the Coordination Council, APA reports citing Georgian Journal.

"More than 1200 Omicron cases have been registered in the laboratory in Georgia. It is estimated that more than half of the circulation is probably Omicron. Most of them are in Tbilisi. Out of the confirmed cases, only 14 patients needed hospitalization, which is a low rate. Big part of those infected with Omicron were vaccinated, they also had a booster," Gabunia explained.
