"Today we discussed how to end the war between Russia and Ukraine," Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlud Çavuşoğlu said at a joint press conference with Hungarian Minister of Trade and Foreign Affairs Peter Sijarto in Budapest, APA reports.

The minister said that he believes that the war will definitely end on the table one day: "Some countries want us to increase our efforts even more. However, even while this war was going on, we saw that diplomacy actually works through the activities of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Examples of this are the "Grain Agreement", the exchange of prisoners, and so on. Many unknown meetings between Russians and Ukrainians were organized by Turkey. This is very important in terms of showing that diplomacy works. Therefore, I thank our friend Atilla Tilki for nominating our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the Nobel Peace Prize. Indeed, Erdogan is continuing his efforts day and night to end the war. If we do not continue these efforts, the war may last longer."

Turkish Foreign Minister added that they will be happy to welcome Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.
