Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Monday that the decision on the date of the forthcoming general election will be made on March 10, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Speaking to reporters following this month's first Cabinet Meeting, Erdogan reaffirmed he is leaning toward May 14 for the election, the date of the 1950s election, which solidified the presence of the multi-partisan system in the country.
The polling was scheduled to take place on 18 June, the same day as the first round of the presidential election.
