"F-16s" modernized within the framework of the "Ozgür" project were handed over to the Turkish Air Force, President of Defence Industry Agency under the Turkish President Ismail Demir Ismail Demir wrote on his Twitter page, APA's Istanbul bureau reports.
"After that, our F-16s will continue to serve our Air Force in a modernized form with much more advanced capabilities".

Türkiye is modernizing the existing F-16s with local and national capabilities, President of Defence Industry Agency of Türkiye Ismail Demir said in an interview with NTV, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
He stressed that the replacement of radar, control and other systems of the fighters, as well as their ammunition with local and most modern analogues, will make the F-16 a national combat aircraft.
