Ukraine and Russia have conducted 9 prisoner exchanges since the beginning of the war, said the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine, APA reports citing Ukrainian News Agency.
As a result, 324 people returned to Ukraine.
"All this took place within the framework of interaction, as well as within the framework of the systematic and intensive work of the Joint Center for the Search and Release of Prisoners under the auspices of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - President Vladimir Zelensky," the statement said.
The Security Service of Ukraine noted that this work requires a large amount of data processing and verification.
Recall that Minister of Reintegration of Temporary Control Areas Irina Vereshchuk announced the exchange of special prisoners with Russia on April 30.
