"Expulsion of Russia from the Council of Europe was a difficult, at the same time a very important decision," said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy Luigi Di Maio while his speech at the 132nd Session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in Turin, APA reports.
Minister noted that Russia grossly violated international law by attacking Ukraine.
"This war has consequences for both Ukraine and the global public. Ukrainian people face serious consequences and impacts of the war. We stand by the people of Ukraine," stressed Italian FM.
