Turkiye's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez announced the latest situation in the region after the 7.4-magnitude earthquake in Kahramanmarash, APA reports.
According to the minister, there was damage to electricity and natural gas lines.
“Our energy infrastructure has been seriously damaged. There is damage to both power transmission lines and natural gas transmission and distribution lines. One of our biggest damages is the rupture of the natural gas line in Turkoglu district, which is close to the epicenter. This line is our main transportation line that carries natural gas to Marash, Gaziantep, Hatay and Kilis.”
