The British Defence Ministry in its latest update on the Russia-Ukraine conflict said Moscow's navy authorities likely believe to have identified a threat to Novorossiysk, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The ministry said the country's decision to put 10 vessels of its fleet to sea was likely a response to the "specific threat" given the type and number of vessels. "The BSF [Black Sea fleet] largely remains fixed by perceived threats from Ukraine, and continues to prioritise force protection over offensive or patrol operations," it said.
