The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, in response to the statements of the Georgian leadership and parliament regarding Ukraine, has noted that official Tbilisi is looking for enemies in the wrong place, APA reports citing Eurointegration.

"Almost verbatim repeating the theses of Russian propaganda, the representatives of the Georgian authorities accused Ukraine of preparing a coup d'état in Georgia, drawing it into a war with Russia, sending forces to incite a civil war," Oleр Nikolenko, spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, said on his Facebook page.

"We flatly reject such insinuations that have nothing to do with reality. That's not the right place for the Georgian authorities to look for an enemy," Nikolenko said.

He has also expressed his conviction that the statements of Georgian politicians could not shake the strong friendship between the Ukrainian and Georgian peoples.

"We highly appreciate the support of the Georgians at a time when Ukrainians are fighting for their independence. For its part, Ukraine has been and will remain a friend of the Georgian people. We wish they would not stop building the European future," said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson.
