Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his nightly video address said Russian shelling brought Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant "one step away from a radiation disaster," APA reports citing Tele Trader.

The leader explained that the last power transmission line connecting Zaporizhzhia to the country's energy system was damaged. "Again, for the second time, because of a Russian provocation, the Zaporizhzhia plant is one step away from a radiation disaster," Zelenskyy stated.

The leader said that shelling the territory of the power plant, Europe's largest of its kind, is proof that Moscow doesn't care about what International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has to say or what the international community decides.
