Azerbaijani national team consisting of men and women has left for Almaty city of Portugal on January 26, 2022, to participate in the Grand Prix tournament on January 28-30, 2022, APA reports.
Prior to the visit, in accordance with the protocol determined by the International Judo Federation, PCR tests were taken once from vaccinated staff members and twice from non-vaccinated staff members (only 3 people in total).
According to Federation rules, participants must undergo the test again once they reach the competition venue. Members of the Azerbaijani national team, as in all other countries, underwent PCR test again after arriving in the Portuguese city of Almaty yesterday. Unfortunately, some of our staff members, who had a negative PCR result in Baku, had a positive result this time.
According to Federation rules, team members with a positive PCR result are not allowed to compete and are quarantined in separate rooms.
