Azerbaijan's import from EU countries increases by 35%

In January of 2021, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the European Union countries has been USD 1,172 bln., which is 30.9% less in comparison with January of 2020, according to the calculations of APA-Economics on the basis of indicators of the State Customs Committee.

Export has been USD 991,711 mln. to the EU, while import USD 180,355 mln. in January. These indicators are relatively by 35.6% less and 15.7% more in comparison with January of the previous year.

Thus, in January of this year, USD 811,356 mln. trade surplus has appeared, which is by 41.4% less in comparison with the analogical period of 2020.
