Total assets of banking sector in Azerbaijan increase by 5,6%

As of October 31 this year, total assets of banks operating in Azerbaijan constituted AZN 31 368,2 mln, while liabilities were AZN 26 634,2 mln. Balance capital of the sector was AZN 4 734,0 mln., APA-Economics reports citing Financial Markets Supervisory Authority.

Total assets increased by 5,6%, total liabilities 4,4%, and balance capital 13,5% in comparison to the same period of the previous year.

As of October, 44,9% of assets of the sector was loan portfolio. The loan portfolio has increased by 1,5% during the month. Total loan portfolio of banks was AZN 14 075,0 mln for the end of the month.
