Azerbaijan gets 5% decline in consumer lending year-on-year

As of July 1, 2018, Azerbaijan-based credit organizations’ provision of crediting made up AZN 12,105,600,000, down AZN 1,776,400,000 or 12.8% from previous year, Central Bank of Azerbaijan told APA-Economics.

Household loans amounted to AZN 4,824,200,000 or 39.9% of provision of crediting, down AZN 268,500,000 or 5.3% compared to a year earlier.

Moreover, 16.8% of consumption loans fell to share of trade and services, 9.6% - transport and communication, 5.6% - industry and production, 4.3% - construction and property, 3.8% to agriculture and processing, 2.4% to energy, chemistry and natural resources.
