 Kapital Bank: Keeping our rating at previous level is very significant

Standard & Poor's Ratings Services affirmed Azerbaijan-based Kapital Bank OJSC’s rating at Ð’Ð’-/Ð’, which is the highest level among the banks in the country, bank told APA-Economics.

According to the agency, Kapital Bank will strengthen its business position within next 12-18 months: “According to the outlook, Kapital Bank is the most sustainable and reliable bank in the country. Thanks to structural changes in the bank, its crediting and competitiveness increased. At the same time, 8.1% of crediting and 15.8% of deposits fall to share of Kapital Bank. Taking into account the current situation in the financial market of the country, keeping the bank’s rating at the previous level is important for us”, the bank said.

In 2016, bank’s assets increased 53.3% to AZN 3.1 billion, loans given to clients – 9.1% to AZN 1.3 billion, personal term savings – 30% to AZN 593.6 million. Net profit stood at AZN 52.4 million, authorized capital at AZN 185.8 million and total capital at AZN 282.1 million.

The bank operates 92 branches and 6 departments.
