Azerbaijan gets nearly 21% decline in consumer lending

As of January 1, 2018, Azerbaijan-based credit organizations’ provision of crediting made up AZN 11,757,800,000, down AZN 4,686,800,000 or 28.5% from previous year, Central Bank of Azerbaijan told APA-Economics.

Household loans amounted to AZN 4,606,500,000 or 39.2% of provision of crediting, down AZN 1,252,200,000 or 21.37% compared to a year earlier.

Moreover, 17.6% of consumption loans fell to share of trade and services, 9.6% - transport and communication, 5.3% - industry and production, 4.6% - construction and property, 3.7% to agriculture and processing, 2.7% to energy, chemistry and natural resources.
