Central Bank: 85% of currency operations conducted in US dollar

According to the Central Bank, the currency market sharply declined in the nine months of 2016.

Bank says the USD operations fell 2.8 times, EUR operations – 2.7 times in the reporting period.

According to the bank, 60% of currency operations was realized in the Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BICEX).

The bank also noted that sold US dollar dropped 28 times to $281 million, EUR operations slid 3.3 times to EUR 193 million.
