In the first quarter of this year, Azerbaijan's trade turnover with the United States amounted to $105.338 million, which is 22.1% less compared to the same period in 2021.
According to the calculations conducted by APA-Economics on the basis of the report of the State Customs Committee, the volume of exports from Azerbaijan to the United States during the reporting period accounted for $ 29.312 million, while import was $ 76.025 mln. Compared to the same period last year, exports increased by 60.04%, while imports decreased by 34.92%.
As a result, in January-March 2022, a $ 46.7 mln negative balance emerged, which is 2.1 times less than a year earlier.
