Ambassador: “Condition of Azerbaijanis in China’s quarantine region is good, relevant steps are taken for their evacuation”

“There are 7 Azerbaijanis in China’s Wuhan region where the coronavirus has been recorded”, said Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to China Akram Zeynalli in his statement to APA.

“4 people from a total of seven people are students. One of the students lives together with his wife and child. And another student is a citizen of the Russian Federation of Azerbaijani origin. In total, our 7 compatriots live in that region. The contacts are made with them several times per day".

Their condition is good, and they have all provisions and don’t have any difficulty. The Azerbaijani government is tracking their condition very closely. All relevant steps are taken by the Azerbaijani state for the evacuation of our compatriots”, the ambassador noted.

Remind that the number of people died as a result of infection with coronavirus has reached 170, and currently, 7,711 people have become a carrier of this virus.
