Azerbaijan assists Australia in elimination of complications of fires

In order to help in elimination of heavy complications of large-scale bush fires raging in the Australian Union since the end of 2019, by instruction of President of Azerbaijan Republic and based on relevant Order of the Cabinet of Ministers, the humanitarian aid in the amount of US$ 50 thousand has been allocated, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.

In regard to this, Mr. Seymur Fataliyev, Director of Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA) functioning under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Republic presented the certificate on the financial contribution to Mr. Novruzali Aslanov, president of Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society. The mentioned funds were donated to the Australian Red Crescent Society by means of Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society.

Note that the foreign mass media outlets reported earlier that as a result of the fires broken out mainly on south-east coastal areas of Australia 25 people died, about 2,000 houses and over 8 million hectares of territories were burned down, and hundred millions of animals perished.
