Embassy: Those who intend to cancel visit to Italy may withdraw their visa application

Those who intend to cancel visiting Italy will be able to withdraw their visa applications for document apply and this will not be considered as refusal for an applicant, Embassy of Italy to Azerbaijan posted on Facebook account, APA reports.

“The content of the decisions of Prime Minister dated March 8 2020 and March 9, 2020, have defined urgent measures to contain the contagion and the spread of the COVID-19 virus. It should be noted that also to foreigners, once entered the national territory, the measures that restrict freedom of movement in all national territory, except for “movements motivated by proven work needs or situations of necessity or movements for reasons of health" will be applied.

In this regard reviewing Schengen visa applications, the following is bring into notice:

It is possible rescheduling the trip in the next half year for the applications that visa procedure not completed and undisclosed visa sticker. For this purpose, applicants should send a new travel itinerary to the Embassy for the new scheduled dates, and provide proof that the passport does not have entry / exit stamps in the Schengen area during the validity period of the visa. Applicants who intend to reject the trip, will be able to withdraw their visa application for the implementation of document. ( This will not be considered as refusal for applicant according to the Article 23 of Visa Code)” reads the statement.
