“Iran’s official position in conflicts is to support the territorial integrity and the government right of countries,” said Mahmoud Vaezi head of the Presidential Administration of Iran on a telephone conversation with Assistant to Azerbaijani President, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.
M. Vaezi has highly appreciated the attempts for further improving relations between two countries, adding visits, official meetings have been postponed due to spread coronavirus in the world.
Considering the relations between Azerbaijan and Iran as an example for the countries of the region, M. Vaezi noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been by the side of friend and neighbor Azerbaijani people and state: “Tensions in the region are not in favor of any country and we wish stability, development for all countries, especially in Azerbaijan. We hope that conflicts will be peacefully resolved.”
H. Hajiyev noted that Azerbaijan attaches great importance for developing relations in Iran in all fields, especially in the economic field.
