Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran has released information on so called "presidential" and "parliamentary" elections, which have been considered to be held on March 31, 2020 in so-called "Nagorno Garabagh Republic", press service of Iranian Embassy to Azerbaijan told APA.
"Islamic Republic of Iran is opposed to any move that will fan the flames of tension in the region," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi.
"We believe that any move that will complicate settlement of disputes between Iran's neighboring states of Armenia and Azerbaijan Republic should be avoided," Mousavi said.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi on Monday stressed the need for settlement of Garabagh contention within the framework of international principles and law.
