Kestutis Jankauskas: "Two-way visa-free travels between Azerbaijan and EU are possible"

The head of the representation of the European Union in Azerbaijan Kestutis Jankauskas has commented on possibility of two-way visa-free travels between EU and Azerbaijan, APA reports citing the speech made by Kestutis Jankauskas during the virtual discussion held by him with the Young European Ambassadors.

The ambassador said the agreement on readmission and easing of visa issuance procedure between Azerbaijan and EU already exists, and this facilitates travels of the Azerbaijani citizens to the EU countries as compared with other countries. The ambassador answering to the question about possibility of two-way visa-free travels between Azerbaijan and EU, said this is possible: “This is not an easy process, but realizable".

K. Jankauskas cited as an example that some of the countries being the members of the Eastern Partnership program already implement two-way visa-free travels with EU.
The head of the EU representation in Azerbaijan answering the question about possibility of Azerbaijan’s membership in the EU said currently, the official position of the Azerbaijani government is the official partnership with the EU.
