PACE winter session kicks off today

The winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) starts in Strasbourg today, APA's Europe bureau reports.

The session will last until January 28.

During the session, the report of the Bureau of the Assembly and the Standing Committee on the work done will be heard, the improvement of the monitoring procedure of the Assembly, the results of the observation of the parliamentary elections in Georgia will be discussed. There will be an exchange of views on post-monitoring dialogue with Montenegro, ethical, legal and practical aspects of the COVID-19 vaccine, discrimination against people with chronic and long-term diseases, and other topics.

Note that this year's PACE winter session will be held in hybrid format (traditional and online participation). The delegation led by Samad Seyidov includes MPs Sevinj Fataliyeva, Rafael Huseynov, Sabir Hajiyev, Erkin Gadirli, Tural Ganjaliyev, Nigar Arpadarai and Kamal Jafarov.
