Head of the Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno Garabagh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan Tural Ganjaliyev has commented on the so-called “congratulatory letter” of the member of Canadian Parliament to the representative of the so-called "regime" organized by Armenia in Azerbaijan's occupied territories, T. Ganjaliyev told APA.

T. Ganjaliyev said as the Head of the Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno Garabagh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan-Canada Friendship Group in Azerbaijani Parliament (Milli Majlis), he condemns and severely protests so-called “congratulatory letter” of the member of House of Commons of the Canadian Parliament Rachael Harder, who is close to Armenian lobby: “I remind Mrs. Harder that while Armenia continues occupation of Nagorno Garabagh and other adjacent regions of Azerbaijan contrary to the main principles of international law, decisions of the UN and other international organizations, Azerbaijani people have been expelled from their native lands by being subjected to ethnic cleansing for more than 28 years and deprived of fundamental human rights. On this platform, attempting to “legitimize” so-called “election show” in occupied Azerbaijani territories on March 31 and April 14, 2020, is disrespect to fundamental human rights and the principle of rule of law. The international community, as well as Canada has unequivocally stood by law and justice and expressed their solidarity with Azerbaijan by determinedly refusing so-called “election show”.

Unfortunately, MP of such a country like Canada, which demonstrates high respect for human rights and freedoms, has expressed support to the ethnic cleansing policy of Armenia against Azerbaijani, so casted a shadow over foreign policy interests and values of Canada.

I declare once more that Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno Garabagh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan does its utmost for peaceful resolution of the conflict - peaceful co-existence and development of both communities of Nagorno Garabagh region of Azerbaijan, works for it uninterruptedly. We express gratitude to those, who support our fair fight in international community, as well as in Canada, and call on those, who are contrary to justice to avoid from the wrong path and support peaceful co-existence of the Armenian and Azerbaijani Communities of Nagorno Garabagh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of internationally-recognized territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan."
