"If the Prime Minister of Armenia holds an extraordinary meeting of the Security Council (SC) in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, then there is no need to try to involve the Armenians of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of our country in the negotiations. The Prime Minister, who voiced the idea of “Karabakh Armenians”, stopped playing with words and calls the Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh not “people” but “Armenian community."

The head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Leila Abdullayeva told ONA, while commenting on Nikol Pashinyan’s visit to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan to attend the Security Council meeting in Khankendi.

She said that the format of the talks on resolving the conflict, which has been going on for many years, is known, and the OSCE determined this by consensus decision: “By the Helsinki OSCE decision of 1992, both communities of the Nagorny Karabakh region of Azerbaijan were identified as interested parties. As for the principles of conflict resolution, the distortion in any form of the principles clearly stated in the Helsinki Final Act of the OSCE, which the OSCE co-chairs refer to in their latest statement, is impossible. We would like to remind you that the OSCE Chairman’s statement by the OSCE Chairman-in-Office’s statement, which was adopted at the OSCE Lisbon Summit in 1996 by all OSCE member countries, except Armenia, clarified the principles of conflict resolution. The territorial integrity of Azerbaijan within the framework of internationally recognized borders cannot be the object of discussion in any form.”

According to the spokesman, the time for the withdrawal of the Armenian Armed Forces from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan and the return of Azerbaijani internally displaced persons there has come a long time: interested in bringing peace, progress and sustainable development to the region. Anyone who is interested in ensuring peace and well-being should not keep the territory of another state under occupation. "
