“Although countries like the US do not recognize the elections in the countries like Bolivia, Venezuela we should make efforts in recognition of the results of these elections,” Syrian Deputy Foreign minister Faisal Maqdad said this today at a debate during the XVIII Baku Summit of Heads of State and Government of countries of the Non-Aligned Movement Movement.
Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister stated that the US imposes sanctions on countries like Iran, Venezuela: “We distinctly reject such steps. Because Israel would not be able to carry out such operations in Syrian lands without the support of the US. I would like to note that Syria supports Azerbaijan’s rightful position in Nagorno Garabagh conflict.”
He stated that the armed forces of all foreign countries should be withdrawn from Syrian territory.
Noting chairmanship of Azerbaijan in NAM during three years he expressed his confidence that official Baku will adhere to Bandung Principles.
