Armenia's opposition to Azerbaijan's settlement in its sovereign territories and historical lands is absurd - MFA

"It is unacceptable to label the return of former IDPs who were victims of Armenia's ethnic cleansing policy as a violation of the Tripartite Statement by Azerbaijan," the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Aykhan Hajizadeh said in response to the local media's question about the groundless allegations made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on March 23, APA reports.

"It is absurd that Armenia, which has illegally settled Armenians to these territories, along with destroying property belonging to Azerbaijanis both in its own territory and in the cities and villages occupied by Armenia for 30 years, opposes the settlement of Azerbaijan in its sovereign territories and historical lands. This statement also directly contradicts the Prague and Sochi agreements, which Armenia repeatedly refers to," Aykhan Hajiyev said.
