Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkiye Rashad Mammadov held a series of meetings in Batman province of Turkiye, said the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Turkiye, APA reports.

During the courtesy meeting held with the Deputy of Batman Province, Ibrahim Gunesh, the development of cooperation between the province and the regions of Azerbaijan was discussed, the existing opportunities and potential were exchanged.

Another meeting took place at the 14th Unmanned Aircraft Systems Base Command, the first and only unmanned aircraft air base of the Turkish Air Force, located in Batman.

In the courtesy meeting held with Brigadier General Ihsan Kaplan, it was emphasized that the brotherhood of Azerbaijan and Turkiye and the special place of the military field in our bilateral relations.

In the ambassador's meeting with Rector Idris Demir at Batman University, the prospects of inter-university relations were discussed.

During the meeting, the rector noted that Batman University, which is moving toward specialization in the field of energy, is interested in expanding its relations with Azerbaijani universities that have rich experience in this field.

The ambassador also participated in the conference "Azerbaijan-Turkiye relations and the role of Heydar Aliyev" organized at the university.

Speaking at the conference, the Azerbaijani ambassador informed the students about the periods of development of bilateral relations, the rich contribution of Heydar Aliyev, who came to power in a difficult time after the regaining of Azerbaijan's independence, to the comprehensive development of these relations, as well as the most significant improvement in the history of Azerbaijan-Turkiye relations in the current period with the joint efforts of the heads of state of both countries. noted that it is at a high level of development.

The ambassador who answered the questions of the university students about the subject, then the books that glorify our country at the university. participated in the opening of the Azerbaijan room where there are plaques and souvenirs. During his visit to Batman province, Ambassador Rashad Mammadov also visited the Karabakh park, which was opened in the province in June of this year and takes its name from the charming corner of Azerbaijan, Karabakh.

The ambassador got acquainted with the pavilions in the park and memorial plaques with information about historical figures from Karabakh.

It was noted that this park, which brings together nature, brotherhood and art, is one of the symbols of Azerbaijan-Turkiye brotherhood.
