Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the Special Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry for the Normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian Relations, Igor Khovaev, on April 25, 2022, the Press Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
The parties exchanged views on steps being taken to normalize relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The parties discussed the current situation in the development of a future peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the opening of all communication lines, and the start of the process of delimitation of borders.
It was stressed that the Azerbaijani side is ready to take appropriate steps to ensure peace and security in the region.
The Special Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Igor Khovaev, reiterated the readiness of the Russian Federation to support progress in all these areas.
The parties also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
