Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Seyyed Abbas Mousavi met with the Assistant to the First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Elchin Amirbayov, APA's Tehran bureau reports.
Views were exchanged in the meeting on the latest developments in bilateral relations, the situation in the Caucasus region, and the fundamental positions of Iran.
Abbas Mousavi emphasized Tehran's position regarding the immutability of internationally recognized borders and not having geopolitical changes that are against Iran's long-term interests in the region.
The ambassador said that Iran is ready to help its northern neighbors to achieve sustainable peace, as well as to hold bilateral and trilateral meetings and the "3+3" regional initiative in Tehran.
