“Georgia is important in terms of regional peace, stability, and mutual relation,” said U.S. State Department's Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations Philip Reeker, APA’s Tbilisi correspondent reports.

“When I was here (Tbilisi) last year I worked closely with the leaders of Georgia to mediate between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili played an indispensable role in the release of detainees and the sharing of (information) about the locations of mines in war zones. Georgia continues to contribute to regional security through the European Union's support for the Monitoring Facility and I am pleased to meet with the Prime Minister to discuss regional issues,” noted Philip Reeker.
