"Regarding the incident, our esteemed President assessed the armed attack as a terrorist act and condemned the terrorist attack. This is the position of our country," said Khalaf Khalafov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in an interview with journalists, APA reports.
Khalaf Khalafov said that after this incident, we first summoned the Iran's ambassador to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"Based on the preliminary information we have, we brought the demands of the Azerbaijani state to the attention of the Iranian ambassador. Our main demand is that Iran, as a responsible state, must conduct a thorough and transparent investigation into the terrorist act that occurred within the framework of its international obligations, held the criminals accountable, bring the perpetrators to justice, identify all those who supported the perpetrators, organized the crime, and participated in its commission, and hold them accountable by bringing them to justice court."
