Violating norms and principle of international humanitarian law, Armenian Armed Forces continue shelling civilian population of Azerbaijan, Ministry of Emergency Situations told APA.
Enemy, which does not dare to face with glorious Azerbaijani Army in the battle, shells residential settlements, compactly settled by Azerbaijani people, civilian facilities, as well as individual houses and apartments, agricultural areas using heavy artillery, causes destruction and fire in civilian facilities, seriously damages civilians and state property.
As a result of projectile shelling of the Armenian Armed Forces, which continue ugly deeds, a fire has broken out in a house belonging to a citizen in Gashalti Garagoyunlu village of Naftalan. Thanks to the operative interference of relevant forces of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, involved in the site, a part of house has been preserved from fire. Furthermore, an agricultural facility belonging to a citizen in Sahlaabad village of Terter district, has caught fire. As the territory was shelled intensively, it was impossible for firefighters to complete the extinguishing process.
At the same time, interference to the fire, broken out in the cemetery as a result of projectile shelling in Terter district, was impossible due to the intensive shelling of the territory.
Note that Ministry of Emergency Situation is working on the enhanced mode in order to immediately eliminate damage of the different facilities, as well as civilian objects, individual houses and apartments, agricultural areas, infrastructure facilities, and fires, broken out due to blows, caused by enemy artillery.
