"There are wounded Armenian detainees in Azerbaijan. In relation to them, the Republic of Azerbaijan has demonstrated its commitment to the Geneva Convention,” said Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev at the briefing held for representatives of diplomatic corps at the ADA University, APA reports.
“At the same time, demonstrating its high moral values and ethics, Azerbaijan provided the necessary assistance to the wounded on the basis of international humanitarian law. They were provided with medical support and were given the chance to communicate with family members. International Committee of the Red Cross was informed about those persons and the organization is in contact with injured,” Hikmat Hajiyev emphasized.
