“Opening of Zangazur corridor, as a part of Middle corridor, is of great importance in terms of realization of the transit potential of the region,” said Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rahman Hummatov at the international conference under the motto “Along the Middle Corridor: Geopolitics, Security, and Economy” held with the attendance of the well-known professors, investigators and experts of the prestigious international think tanks, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, the corridor can change the transport and communication map of the region in strategic terms.
“Zangazur corridor, along with being short and safe for transporting cargos from China and Middle East countries to Europe, it will also allow diversification of transport routes as an alternate transition,” R. Hummatov added.
