"The first block train sent to Europe passing through the Middle Corridor from Chengdu, one of China's major industrial centers, arrived in Baku Port last night. The train, which will cross the two seas to Europe, consists of 49 containers," the press secretary of Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC Elmar Habibli told journalists, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, the professional team of the Baku Port operatively unloaded the containers brought to Baku from the port of Aktau in Kazakhstan by the ship "Beket Ata" operated by "ADY Container" LLC and loaded them on the platforms. These 40-foot containers, the last destination of which are various European cities, were sent to the Georgian port of Batumi on the platform. Then the containers will be sent from the port of Batumi to the Romanian port of Constanta by ferry, and from there to various European cities by train.
