The opening ceremony of the reconstructed "Khanoba" state border check point on the border of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the Russian Federation was held, APA's bureau reports.
Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev, his Russian counterpart Aleksey Overchuk and other officials attended th eceremony.
They visited monument of national leader Heydar Aliyev in Khachmaz, and placed a wreath in front of it.
13 crossing lines for the movement of vehicles have been determined at the exit point from the state border, which creates favorable conditions for rapid border and customs control of cargo, buses, and passenger vehicles. Border and customs registration of vehicles, as well as preliminary inspection at the departure point, and other necessary clearance operations will be carried out at the terminal.
