Armenian armed forces resorted to provocation on the border with Azerbaijan, APA reports.
Azerbaijani Army took adequate measures to respond to this provocation.
Three servicemen from the Armenian side died as a result.
Currently, the situation at the border is stable.
Recall that information regarding the violation of the ceasefire by Azerbaijan was published in the Armenian media.
Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense of said that Armenia's information about the violation of the ceasefire by Azerbaijan is false:
"The information disseminated by the Armenian side that the Azerbaijan Army Units violated the ceasefire by opening fire using mortars and large-caliber weapons is false.
By spreading such information, the Armenian Defense Ministry is trying to conceal the fact that they violated the ceasefire. We declare that the units of the Azerbaijan Army took adequate retaliatory measures only to suppress the opposing side’s firing points.”
Notably, despite the ceasefire agreement, on September 28, at about 18:00, the Armenian armed forces units using various caliber weapons subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions, stationed in the Alagollar direction of the Kalbajar region
A serviceman of the Azerbaijan Army, Isgandarov Nijat Hidayat was wounded as a result of the fire.
